Kylian Mbappe struck twice as Paris Saint-Germain closed in on the Ligue 1 title with a 2-1 win away to Auxerre on Sunday night.
Morocco international Achraf Hakimi was an obvious absentee for the table-toppers, who had Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe leading the line.
PSG were on the front foot inside just six minutes after Fabian Ruiz squeezed a ball in-behind for Mbappe to find an angle and slot beyond goalkeeper Ionut Radu.
Mbappe doubled their lead two minutes later when he picked up a square delivery from Lionel Messi and applied a superb curler past Radu.
The French national captain should've had a hat-trick minutes gone through a galloping run to the six-yard area following another Messi delivery, but he was kept out by the Auxerre shot-stopper.
Auxerre nearly caused a scare a little before halftime where a loose clearance off Marquinhos allowed Rayan Raveloson to step-in and volley onto the upright.
Christophe Galtier's men were under fire five minutes into the second half and conceded when Lassine Sinayoko got on the end of a knockdown and slotted through PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.
The record-breaking French champions decided to then freshen up their resolve ten minutes into the resumption and had Vitinha come on for Hugo Ekitike.
PSG continued to cut through the host after a while and a move beyond the lines from Messi resulted in an opening for Mbappe, but Radu was on hand to smother.
At the other end, the host remained alive despite trailing and in fact went close to draw level from a smart move but Donnarumma made a timeous intervention.
Mbappe looked to have had a third goal deep in stoppage time with a clever finish, but it was disallowed for offside though it didn't matter as they claimed victory to put one hand on the title with two games to spare.
