Report: Barcelona aiming to offload six stars in January

FC Barcelona are reportedly planning to make wholesale changes in the January transfer window, with the club looking offload six players.

It is believed the Catalan giants need to balance their books after reporting a loss £88million following the effects of the coronavirus pandemic.

There have also been claims that the club are trying to reduce their £355m annual wage bill, although the talks with the first team have not progressed.

In order for the club to sign new players in January, they would first need to offload a few of their own players in order to raise funds

One of the bigger names who could be on the way out is defender Samuel Umtiti who has fallen down the pecking order after his injury troubles.

Umtiti has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League in recent transfer windows, with both Arsenal and Manchester United keen.

Mundo Deportivo also previously listed Ousmane Dembele as a potential departure in January, although the injury to Ansu Fati could change the French winger's situation.
