Vinicius saves Real Madrid's unbeaten run

Real Madrid rallied back from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Valencia in an entertaining LaLiga clash on Saturday night.

Star man Jude Bellingham returned from an ankle injury with Dani Carvajal and Eduardo Camavinga back too from suspension in the three alterations by Madrid on the back of their win over Sevilla.

Vinicius Junior, who faced racial abuse in this fixture last season, looked to livened it up early on with a trademark run from deep but he was kept in check.

Los Che were ahead from their very first chance when a defensive mix-up from the league leaders led to a quick turnover where Hugo Duro grabbed hold to beat Andriy Lunin.

Another error by Madrid proved damning as Los Che added a second where Roman Yaremchuk intercepted a stray pass to round Lunin and finished on the half-hour mark.

Los Blancos aimed to pull one back before the break and were quite close through a first-time shot by Federico Valverde, but Giogio Mamardashvili parried.

The away side did get one back though right on the stroke of halftime after Vinicius latched onto a pin-point cross from Carvajal to prod in from five yards.

Madrid came out for the second half extremely fired up and nearly got level through a teasing shot from Bellingham after a late run, but Mamardashvili repelled.

Substitutions from the table-toppers midway through the half saw Luka Modric come on for Toni Kroos and had Brahim Diaz in for Rodrygo Goes.

The move paid off as Diaz got out on the right to play in a pin-point cross into the area which Vinicius attacked to nod in the top corner with under ten minutes to play.

However, more drama came in added time when Los Che got a penalty following a foul on Duro by Nacho Fernandez, but it was overturned with the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) stepping in.

The drama didn't stop as Madrid had the ball in the net through Bellingham's header, but it wasn't awarded after the final whistle had blown before the effort and 2-2 it finished with the Englishman red carded for remonstrating the decision.
