Fadlu makes special request to Simba bosses

Simba SC head coach Fadlu Davids has made a special request to the club bosses after missing out on the Tanzanian Premier League title this week.

Davids' charges had to settle for second spot in the Tanzanian top-flight after a 2-0 defeat to rivals Young Africans, who were crowned champions on Wednesday evening.

Simba have now lost the CAF Confederation Cup final and have missed the chance to end Yanga's dominance in Tanzanian football, but the South African tactician is hoping to get more players for the new campaign.

"It’s clear today [Wednesday} that the better team won. Yanga have more players who can make a difference in big matches, and that’s something we need to address moving forward," Davids said after the game, as per the Guardian.

"I’ve built a solid team foundation, but it’s not enough. We need to bring in more players with the mentality and quality to change the outcome of big matches. That’s where the real gap lies between us and Yanga."

He continued, "I believe the leadership will back me during the upcoming transfer period.

"We need reinforcement - players who fight, who bring energy, and above all, who can deliver in pressure situations."
