Fluminense overtake Downs after 6-goal thriller

Fluminense climbed up to second spot in Group F with a 4-2 win over Ulsan HD in FIFA Club World Cup action.

The Brazilian giants were given a great incentive going into the clash after Borussia Dortmund had defeated Mamelodi Sundowns earlier in the day.

The South Americans dominated for most of the first half but had to wait until the 27th minute for the opening goal, courtesy of an impressive free-kick from Jhon Arias.

The South Korean side levelled matters against the run of play on 37 minutes when Lee Jinhyun got on the end of Um Won-Sang's cross and fired home a tight angle.

Ulsan took the lead just before the interval when roles were reversed, with Jinhyun turning provider to pick out Won-Sang in the box, with the latter heading home with a powerful effort.

However, Fluminense got back on level terms after Nonato sent a neat finish into the bottom corner from just inside the 18-yard area.

The South Americans carried that momentum into the latter stages and found the winning goal on 82 minutes courtesy of Juan Freyes' clinical finish from eight yards out, while Keto rounded off the scoring in second-half stoppage time.
