According to Spanish publication Sport, the Catalan giants are interested in a move for the Nigerian midfielder whose current with the Foxes expires at the end of the season.
The Super Eagles star was linked with a number of clubs in the last transfer window, with Leicester looking only listening to offers upwards of £20million.
The report adds that Xavi and Barcelona are looking for a cheaper option next season and Ndidi fits that bill as he is expected to be a free agent next year.
However, Barcelona will reportedly also face competition from Bayern Munich, Juventus and Atletico Madrid who are all said to be keen on the Nigerian's services.
Ndidi made the switch to Leicester from Genk in 2017 and has racked up 252 appearances while he also won the FA Cup and Community Shield under Brendan Rodgers in 2021.
