Manchester United legend Robin van Persie has made his picks for the 2020 Ballon d'Or award, but both Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo were overlooked.
The Dutchman, who scored 58 goals in 105 appearances during his time at Old Trafford, took to Twitter on Wednesday to reveal his picks for the next winner of the coveted Golden Ball award, but snubbed Messi and Ronaldo for his selection.

Instead, Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski, who has scored 51 goals in 43 matches across all competitions this season, is Van Persie's favourite to walk away with the award this year.

The 36-year-old also made his picks for the second- and third-placed player, which he believes should go to Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne and Liverpool forward Sadio Mane, respectively.
