Arsenal maintained their winning start to the Premier League season by thrashing Leeds United 5-0 at the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners made two changes from the win at Manchester United last weekend, as Noni Madueke and Jurrien Timber came in for Gabriel Martinelli and Ben White.
Mikel Arteta's charges broke the deadlock in the 34th minute when Timber marked his return with a goal by getting on the end of Declan Rice's cross and nodded home.
The lead was doubled ten minutes later through Bukayo Saka, who latched onto a pass from Timber before unleashing a powerful strike from a tight angle.
Viktor Gyökeres finally got his moment after the break with an impressive run and finish to open his account in the English top-flight.
The Gunners were not done there as Timber got his second and the team's fourth goal ten minutes after the halftime break, while Gyokeres added his second on the night late in the second half.
Burnley 2-0 Sunderland
Burnley got their Premier League campaign up and running with a 2-0 win over Sunderland on Saturday afternoon.
Lesley Ugochukwu and Jacob Larsen were restored to the Burnley line-up, with Bafana Bafana strike Lyle Foster maintaining his starting spot.
With no goals in the first period, the Clarets hit the opener a minute in the restart through a well-taken back-heel effort by Josh Cullen.
Burnley made the points safe with two minutes remaining when Jaidon Anthony stormed clear following a through pass and finished smartly.
Brentford 1-0 Aston Villa
Brentford overcame last weekend’s disappointment to see off Aston Villa 1-0 and picked up their first win of the season in the Premier League on Saturday.
Villa had goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez back in goal, whereas the host restored Kevin Schade, Mats Damsgaard and Dango Ouattara.
Ouattara opened his account for his new club inside 12 minutes when he sneaked past Tyrone Mings and Torres to beat Martinez.
Damsgaard seemed to have added another with a first-time volley just before the break, but it didn’t stand after a foul on the shot-stopper Martinez.
Unai Emery’s men looked for a response thereafter and launched countless forays, but couldn’t break down the Bees who held on for victory.
Bournemouth 1-0 Wolverhampton Wanderers
Bournemouth registered their first win of the campaign following a 1-0 victory over a ten men Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Vitality Stadium.
John Arias was given his debut by the visitors, while the Cherries named an unchanged eleven from the opening day loss at the champions Liverpool.
After a difficult start to the campaign, Wolves were behind on four minutes when Marcus Tavernier drilled a cutback from Antoine Semenyo in off the woodwork.
Semenyo, who netted twice at Anfield, looked to double the lead with a strike at the far post after meeting a cross from David Brooks but it clattered the woodwork.
