Chelsea have now officially confirmed the signing of another France star following Wesley Fofana's move to Stamford Bridge earlier this season.
The Blues have announced that they have signed defender Benoit Badiashile from AS Monaco on a a seven-and-a-half-year deal.

"Benoit Badiashile has completed a permanent transfer to Chelsea from AS Monaco, signing a seven-and-a-half-year contract at Stamford Bridge," a statement on the club's official website read.
The player himself said: "'I'm very happy to be here at Chelsea. I'm so excited to start playing for this club. I can't wait to see the fans and start playing in the best league in the world."
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the centre-back joins the Londoners at a fee of €38 million (R685 million).
Per The Athletic, the Blues chose to sign Badiashile after an extensive scouting process of left-sided centre-backs under the age of 25.

Chelsea manager Graham Potter will be hoping the defender can help the club turn its fortunes in the Premier League around – they are currently 10th on the log.
