With Kevin De Bruyne's contract at the club set to expire at the end of this season, Manchester City are reportedly pushing to land his replacement.
The Belgian has been linked with a move to newly formed Major League Soccer franchise San Diego FC, with his preferred destination after leaving the Sky Blues believed to be the United States of America, per recent speculation.

While City are thought to be keen on extending his stay at the club, the player is said to have grown tired of the pressure and intensity of playing European football at the highest level.
With the English giants looking at preparing for the possibility of the playmaker's departure, they have now supposedly put Bayer Leverkusen star Florian Wirtz high on their shopping list.
The 21-year-old is also claimed to be a transfer interest of European giants Bayern Munich and Real Madrid, after impressing during his time at Die Werkself thus far, according to former Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur scout Mick Brown.
Last season, the midfielder put his abilities on display when he garnered 18 goals and 20 assists in 49 appearances across all competitions, helping his side win the Bundesliga for the first time in their history, and without suffering a single defeat too.
"He's definitely on their list of targets from what I've heard," Brown told Football Insider.
"He comes with a very good reputation and he's done a fantastic job at Leverkusen.
"They'll be pushing to get that deal done, there's no doubt about that."
There are concerns about whether or not the German's lack of experience could contribute to him not being an adequate enough replacement for De Bruyne, and Brown offered his verdict.
"I think Wirtz is the type of player who can help them continue to compete at the top level, especially given his age.
"These are the types of players City should be going for, and as far as I'm aware, the ones they are going for. He fits the mould perfectly."
