TEAMtalk have reported the Man City are firmly in the race for the 21-year-old attacking midfielder and are willing to bid €100million.

The report adds that Man City will face competition from Real Madrid after the recent injury to Brahim Diaz, who has been inconsistant for Los Blancos since returning from AC Milan last year.

Musiala has two years left on his current deal with the Bundesliga giants, who have been tryin to get the player to sign an extension.

Bayern Munich CEO Herbert Hainer recently stated that he is confident Musiala will commit his future at the Allianz Arena.

"In my opinion, he could become the second Thomas Müller and play here for the next 20 years. I am very optimistic that we will see him at Bayern for a long time," Hainer told Sky Sport.

"I really appreciate Jamal, when you see how much he has developed, it's incredible. Many say that he will one day be the best player in the world. So we want to do everything we can to tie him to FC Bayern for the long-term."
