Having initially arrived in the Premier League back in 2006 with Arsenal, Adebayor spent nine seasons with the Gunners, Manchester City, Tottenham and Crystal Palace between a loan stint with Real Madrid.

Not short of controversy throughout his career, the towering striker was also known for his goal-scoring prowess, netting 10-goals or more in six of the nine campaigns.

And upon his departure to the Turkish Super Lig in 2016, he left with a record of 97 goals in the division, along with cult hero status.

If he's to return to solve the injury crisis with the West Midlands outfit, Didier Drogba's incredible record could be in jeopardy.

Drogba and compatriots Yaya Toure are among the Ivory Coast legends who marked their name amongst the iconic African names of Premier League history.

The only current players on the list are Liverpool's Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah, the superstar duo's prolific form over the past two seasons has seen them sky-rocket towards the elusive top-three.
