Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly the subject of a police investigation after his off-field outburst over the weekend.
The Portuguese forward cut a frustrated figure during his side's 1-0 defeat to Everton on Saturday, and in the aftermath of United's loss, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner was seen on video seemingly lashing out and knocking a 14-year-old fan's phone to the ground and breaking it on his way down the tunnel.

The supporter's mother has since claimed that her son's hand was bruised as a result of the incident.
However, a spokesperson for Merseyside Police has confirmed that an investigation into the matter is underway.
"We can confirm that we are liaising with Manchester United Football Club and Everton FC following reports of an alleged assault at the Everton v Manchester United football match at Goodison," a statement read from the police read, per Sky Sports.
"As players were leaving the pitch at 2.30pm, it was reported that a boy was assaulted by one of the away team as they left the pitch.
"Inquiries are under way and officers are currently working with Everton Football Club to review CCTV footage and are carrying out extensive witness enquiries to establish if an offence has taken place.

"Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact Merseyside Police."
Manchester United have also responded to the news by confirming they are aware of the matter.
"We are aware of an alleged incident after today's game at Everton and the club will co-operate with any police inquiries," a club spokesperson said, per Sky Sports.
