Manchester City have confirmed their firs signing of the January window, as they look to strengthen their squad and turn their season around.
The Sky Blues have announced the arrival of highly rated 20-year-old centre-back Abdukodir Khusanov from Ligue 1 club RC Lens.

Reports indicate that the Premier League outfit paid a fee of €40 million (around R770 million) plus bonuses to secure the starlet, who is believed to have signed a four-and-a-half year deal with the option to extend it by a further 12 months.
According to Manchester Evening News, the Citizens have been monitoring the Uzbek since he joined the French outfit at the beginning of the 2023/24 season.
He has had a glistening start to life in one of Europe's top five leagues, becoming the first defender from his country to play in Ligue 1 and the youngest to feature in the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League.
Pep Guardiola's side have struggled with injuries to key defenders so far during the current campaign, with Ruben Dias and John Stones currently side-lined with injuries since December.
Khusanov, meanwhile, has made 13 Ligue 1 appearances for RC Lens so far this season, missing just four games of which two ere due to red-card suspension.
