"I am delighted to be signing for Chelsea, it is a very proud moment for me to be joining this great club," Werner told Chelsea's official website following the announcement.
"I, of course, want to thank RB Leipzig, the club and the fans, for four fantastic years. You will forever be in my heart. I look forward to next season with my new teammates, my new manager and, of course, the Chelsea fans. Together we have a very successful future ahead of us."

While the terms of Chelsea's agreements with both Leipzig and Werner have not been disclosed, it is reported that Frank Lampard's side forked out €53 million (R1 billion) for the 24-year-old's signature, making him the most expensive German player of all time, per Transfermarkt.
The former VfB Stuttgart star is the Londoner's second signing ahead of next season, with the club having already confirmed a deal for Ajax Amsterdam forward Hakim Ziyech.
