It has been confirmed that Wydad Athletic Club's latest captain has joined a new club just hours after coach Rulani Mokwena's appointment was confirmed.
Amid the palpable excitement of Mokwena's arrival at the Morocco club, Al Kuwait SC confirmed the signing of midfield star Yahya Jabrane from Wydad.

The 33-year-old has signed a deal until June 2025, bringing an end to a glittering five-year stint at the Red Castle, with whom he won the 2021/22 CAF Champions League title and three Botola Pro 1 championships.
"Yahya Jabrane, who plays as a midfielder, has signed with Al Kuwait SC to strengthen the ranks of the first team for the 2024/25 sports season. It should be noted that the player participated with the Moroccan selection in the Qatar 2022 World Cup. He was also the captain of Wydad," reads an official statement.
Jabrane's new club were crowned Kuwait Premier League champions for the 19th time last season.
The experienced playmaker now becomes the second player to make the switch from Wydad to Kuwait SC this month, with DR Congo international Arsene Zola having signed a permanent deal with the Asian outfit on 1 July after joining them on loan back in January.

Jabrane played 217 matches for Wydad, registering 34 goals and 14 assists along the way.
