Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Miguel Cardoso has reportedly caught they eye of a certain African giant ahead of the 2025/26 season.
Egyptian giants Zamalek continue their search for a new coach after Jose Peseiro was sacked last month after a string of poor results.

South African coach Rulani Mokwena recently revealed he pulled out of the race for the job as he did not want to compete with countryman Pitso Mosimane.
However, Al-Masry Al-Youm have reported that the current Sundowns coach is among the potential targets for the White Knights.
The Source at Zamalek claims the club are going through a number coaches and their CV, with the club's sporting director John Edward set to finalise an appointment soon.
"Zamalek officials are currently reviewing the CVs of several coaches, and the list has now been narrowed down to just three candidates," the source said.
"One of the agents has proposed Portuguese coach Miguel Cardoso, who is currently managing South African side Mamelodi Sundowns, to take over as Zamalek’s head coach next season.
"Zamalek are in the final stages of selecting the new head coach," the source said.

"It’s expected that John Edward, the club’s sporting director, along with the planning committee, will finalise the appointment within the coming days. There are expectations that the manager will be officially announced next Monday."
Zamalek finished third in the Egyptian Premier League this past season and crashed out of the CAF Confederation Cup at the quarter-final stage.
