Al Ahly 'reach agreement' for Riveiro's first transfer

Egyptian giants Al Ahly have reportedly reached an agreement to secure Jose Riveiro's first signing at the club.

The Club of the Century have already started shaping their squad for next season, as Ali Maaloul, Rami Rabia, Akram Tawfik and Hamza Alaa have already left the club.

Reports in Egypt claim that Riveiro wants a new central defender before heading off to the FIFA Club World Cup in a few days.

According to Kooora, Al Ahly are putting the final touches on securing a deal for Ceramica Cleopatra defender Ahmed Ramadan.

The report claims there is already an agreement from the player, with the club's now sorting out the financial aspects for the season-long loan deal.

"Al-Ahly decided to sign a new defender following the departure of Rami Rabia, whose contract with the club expired and was not renewed. Therefore, the need arose to sign a replacement before heading to the Club World Cup," the source told Kooora.

"It has been decided to include Beckham on a one-season loan, with the final decision being made by the new coach, Spaniard José Ribeiro, who will assess the team's defensive needs after the Club World Cup."

The Egyptian Red Devils will compete in the opening game of the Club World Cup against Major League Soccer outfit Inter Miami.
