Davids was recognised for Simba's form in the league, where his side secured five successive victories to close the gap on Young Africans.

The South African coach beat out competition from Young Africans coach Miloud Hamdi and Rachid Touassi of Azam FC for the award.

Ugandan forward Steven Mukwala has been named the Player of the Month for May.

The 25-year-old contributed with four goals and one assist for Fadlu Davids' side in the last month.
