Wydad Athletic Club are reportedly not ready to give up in their pursuit of Mamelodi Sundowns star Thembinkosi Lorch.
The Moroccan giants have reportedly been making every effort to retain Lorch following the expiration of his contract at the end of the 2024/25 season.

Nyoso, as the South African star is fondly known, joined Wydad from Masandawana on loan in January while coach Rulani Mokwena was still at the helm of the team.
During his short stint at Wydad, Lorch quickly became a fan-favourite, delivering influential displays both domestically and on the global stage, particularly during the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.
Initially, it was reported in North Africa that he was likely to sign a permanent deal for a fee in the region of €500,000 (approximately R10 million), in an effort to strengthen Wydad's squad ahead of the upcoming campaign.
However, following his standout performances at the FIFA Club World Cup in the United States, reports from overseas indicated that Downs increased their asking price to €1 million (approximately R20 million).
As a result, the Botola Pro League powerhouse, according to reports, felt the revised fee was excessive and were reportedly prepared to walk away from negotiations.
However, according to a new report from Radio Mars, Wydad have submitted another improved offer to Sundowns for the services of the attacker, although the Tshwane-based club has yet to respond.
