Caleb names 2 ex-Chiefs teammates in dream XI

Caleb-Bonfils Bimenyimana has named two of his former Kaizer Chiefs teammates in his best XI of ex-colleagues.

The Burundi international spent just one season at Naturena between 2022 and 2023.

The striker was instantly recognisable due to his towering height, but things on the pitch didn’t quite go to plan.

His contract at Chiefs was cut short after he registered just eight goals and one assist in 21 appearances during his sole season at the club.

Nevertheless, Bimenyimana made friends along the way, with some of his Chiefs teammates seemingly leaving a lasting impression on him thanks to their on-field abilities.

Speaking to Burundian sports media outlet Akeza Sports, the now 27-year-old USM Alger star was asked to name his best XI made up exclusively of players he has played alongside.

Only two of his former Chiefs teammates during his short-lived spell at the club made the cut — Edmilson Dove at centre-back and Mduduzi Shabalala on the flank.

According to Transfermarkt, Bimenyimana played 17 matches with Dove, who recently left Chiefs at the end of last season as a free agent.

Meanwhile, the USM Alger forward also featured alongside Shabalala on 11 occasions.

Elsewhere, Bimenyimana has registered three goals and one assist in 12 appearances for USM Alger since joining the Algerian outfit in February 2025.
