With the first transfer window of the 2025/26 season in full swing, here’s a look at nine free agents with overseas experience who are available to join new teams, including Percy Tau.
Tau’s future remains uncertain, as no club has yet snapped him up on a free transfer.
The Bafana Bafana talisman became a free agent after his contract with Qatar SC expired in June, following a six-month spell in the Middle East.

Since then, Tau has been linked with Kaizer Chiefs and Egyptian giants Zamalek, though a move has yet to materialise.
Similarly, Kamohelo Mokotjo is also a free agent after spending a season with relegated side Cape Town City.
Lebogang Phiri is on the market after a lengthy spell in France.
Another notable free agent is Venezuela international Edson Castillo, who recently parted ways with Kaizer Chiefs.
This past weekend, Castillo was spotted at a local youth football competition in Venezuela as he continues his search for a new club.
