Algerian star 'sparks transfer clash' between Rulani & Zinnbauer

Rulani Mokwena's MC Alger are reportedly battling it out with rivals JS Kabylie, who are coached by former Orlando coach Josef Zinnbauer, for a certain Algerian star.

Yousri Bouzok left Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca for Saudi Arabian side Al-Raed in January 2025, but his stay in the Gulf region could come to an end soon.

According to AfricaFoot, both Alger and Kabylie have expressed serious interest in acquiring the winger. Alger are said to have been tracking Bouzok even before Mokwena’s arrival, believing he would be a key addition to their attacking options.

More so, it is reported that Zinnbauer's side took the initiative by making a loan offer with an option to buy, with their proposal also including an attractive salary package designed to tempt Bouzok back to Algeria.

On the other hand, Mokwena's Alger are said to be pushing for a permanent deal and are believed to have tabled a slightly higher transfer bid than their rivals, aiming to secure the player.

While both clubs have submitted formal offers to Raed, no final agreement has been reached, according to the above-mentioned publication.

Nevertheless, the Saudi side are reportedly open to letting the 28-year-old attacking midfielder leave, provided a fair and satisfactory offer is presented.

According the report, the race for Bouzok's signature is heating up, and with both clubs eager to strengthen their squads ahead of the new season, a decision is expected soon.
