A former Al Ahly star has accused the club's head coach Marcel Koller of treating some of his players poorly, claiming that both Percy Tau and Aliou Dieng suffered the same treatment from the Swiss manager.
In recent months, Koller has faced growing criticism, with questions being raised about the team's performances and the tactician’s man-management skills.
Relations between Koller and certain players have undoubtedly become strained, with several having left the club as a result.

Among those who have seemingly been cast aside are Tau and Kahraba, both of whom departed during the January 2025 transfer window, as well as Dieng, who left at the start of the current campaign.
According to reports in Egypt, veteran star Ali Maaloul is reportedly the latest player to fall out with Koller, with the manager having now left him out of the squad that travelled to South Africa to face Mamelodi Sundowns in the CAF Champions League.
Former Al Ahly star Ahmed Abu Muslim has criticised Koller for his handling of the Maaloul situation, adding that similar incidents occurred with Tau and Dieng, according to Btolat.com.
When asked about Ali Maaloul's exclusion from the Sundowns matchday squad, Muslim responded: "It's very difficult to understand. Koller is doing bizarre things. He’s now in constant clashes and acting arrogantly, treating people poorly.
"Koller has done this before with Kahraba and El Solia, and also had issues with Percy Tau, not to mention the departures of Dieng and Ahmed Abdelkader.
"A coach can be strong, but poor psychological management of players might prevent them from performing at their best."
