The highest-paid footballers often get themselves some of the best cars ever made. Here are the most expensive rides owned by ballers including Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi's prized possessions
Most footballers end up buying a luxury car in their lifetime, some may even get more but only a small few can afford the most expensive vehicles ever. Only the highest-paid players can afford to buy a motor that is limited edition and not feel the price tag on their wallets.
The player that reportedly has the most expensive car is Paris Saint-Germain star Lionel Messi who owns a Ferrari 335 S Spider Scaglietti that is said to be worth $30 million (R466 million). The rare ride is believed to have been purchased by the Argentine in an auction.

The car comes with a 4.1-litre V12 engine which gives it a minimum of 400 horsepower and enables it to reach a top speed of 190 miles per hour - something unheard of at the time. While Messi's former rival Cristiano Ronaldo has a pair of wheels that sit in second place.
The Portuguese forward's Bugatti La Voiture Noire is valued at $18.6 million (R289 million) which is reasonable if you consider that it comes with an 8L quad-turbo16-cylinder engine, upwards of 1,500 horsepower in each wheel and an acceleration from 0 to 62 mph in 2.4 seconds, according to Bugatti's official website

The car is believed to come with "900-plus horsepower hybrid hypercar of 2013 – tops the tree (fastest Ferrari), with an official 0-62mph time of 2.4 seconds while the LaFerrari can also claim the highest quoted top speed of any Ferrari to date, an entirely sufficient 218mph." according to Top gear.
