AmaZulu head coach Benni McCarthy has been gifted a brand new Volkswagen SUV worth R500 000 by the club's official vehicle partner.
McCarthy is arguably the biggest name in South African football history and with his reputation, it's natural that sponsors follow his name. But Usuhtu's brand affiliation with Barons Durban has now ensured he'll be travelling around in style and comfort for the foreseeable future.
"The Coach will be driving around in the all-new Volkswagen T-Roc Golf-based SUV model as he goes about his business with leading the Usuthu front line for the DStv Premiership campaigning outfit," the club statement read.
"Benni McCarthy was presented his ride by Barons Durban Dealership Manager, Shane Naidu alongside AmaZulu General Manager, Tsepiso Mofokeng and AmaZulu Community Relations Officer, Phumlani Dube."
When style meets comfort?
VW has pulled out a new range of affordable and perhaps more convenient than their bulky competitors in the SUV range with their latest offering considered a 'Golf on Heels'.
With the same power and luxury a Golf provides mechanically and aesthetically with it's interior, the entry-level offering McCarthy has been afforded sets you back an estimated R492 550.
A vehicle that's said to offer the 'ultimate driving enjoyment' holds a TSI petrol engine along with the modern Tiptronic and dual-clutch DSG gearbox.
