The 60-year-old, who is currently assistant manager at FK Gonja Zeta Ljajkovici in Montenegro, previously worked with the Buccaneers as an assistant to fellow Serbian tactician Kosta Papic.
Medic will replace the infamous 'Gloved One', who was fired a few weeks ago.
"Yes, it is Kosta Papic's former assistant coach at Orlando Pirates, Moma Medic [who will take the Tshakhuma job]," reveals a source close to Medic.
Tshakhuma official Livhuwani Madzuhe admitted the incoming coach is from Serbia but refused to reveal his name.
"I know I have received a lot of CVs but the final one is arriving soon," says Madzuhe.
"He is from outside, he is from Serbia, he previously worked in the PSL and NFD. He left South Africa a long time ago. He was last here in 2004, 2006 and he went to Nigeria, he went to Ghana as a head coach there, 2011/12 head coach of Dynamos FC in South Africa, NFD. After that he went to Burundi.
"He knows Africa, I don't think he will be having a problem with us, and he will join us on Friday. We want him to be on the stands on Saturday when we play Chippa United in the Nedbank Cup, and he needs to start training the team the following week when we are busy trying to finalise his work permit, and we hope he can be on the bench when we play Cape Umoya on Friday, 22 February.
"He is arriving in South Africa on Friday and management will go with him when we play Chippa on Saturday. I think he will be watching the game. He has not signed yet, I think when he arrives we will be finalising everything. But we have already finalised his flight arrangement and everything.
"We have already agreed telephonically, email on the contracts and the money. We wanted to give him one-and-a-half or two years but it will depend."
