Modiba and teammate Teboho Mokoena are said to have attracted the interest of Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane and the defending Absa Premiership champions could look at bringing them in next season.
Modiba still has another season to go on his current deal with Matsatsantsa and says he is happy at the club.
“All I can say is that me and Teboho I saw it in the media, but nothing has been said to me from my agent, or Stan or whoever,” the former Mpumalanga Black Aces player said.
“Obviously it makes me feel great as a player because it shows that maybe I am doing something good for the team and for myself. People are watching in whatever you do or in every game you play. But my focus is at SuperSport and I want to do well for the club.”
Modiba’s progress over the last few years has been rapid. He was part of the Nedbank Cup Ke Yona, before joining Aces and is now a SuperSport player representing the country at senior level. The question is would he be ready for a move to a big club such as Sundowns?
“I think mentally I am a strong player. I can be able to handle situations, because I’ve been moving and a new environment would be something I can handle. But I wouldn’t see myself moving anytime from now from SuperSport.”
