Stephen Keshi quashes Orlando Pirates report

Owngoalnigeria.com seems to have scored one through their own net after reporting that a deal could be done by the end of the week, if Keshi’s own words are to be believed.

“Honestly I'm shocked to hear this,” Keshi told SuperSport.com.

“I don't know where this is coming from because I have not discussed anything or offer with anyone and my representative has not done so too, or otherwise I would have been informed.

“Like I told you the last time, if I'm approached and the deal meets my terms, why not? I'm a professional and open to offers provided they are good enough for me.”

Keshi is known to be job-hunting in South Africa after signing with QT Sports and Tim Sukazi, but the Pirates reports appear to be premature.

Sukazi has also indicated that there has been no contact with anybody from the Buccaneers, but they would accept an invitation.

Head coach Eric Tinkler’s future at the club is currently under review.
