Orlando Pirates players who could be looking to make a move at the end of the season

snl24.com/kickoff looks at players who need to make a move to get their careers back on track.

The big defender is in his third season with the Buccaneers, but nothing seems to improve for him at the club. At the moment Chabalala can’t make the 18-man match day squad and he has not been registered in the CAF Champions League, so chances of him getting a run before the end of the season are slim. He has not played at all this season

The former Chippa United right back has featured just seven times in all competitions this season, with all of his appearances coming between August and October. Since then he has watched Pirates’ matches from the stands, as the likes of Asavela Mbekile, Abbubakar Mobara and Mthokozisi Dube play ahead of him.

The midfielder joined Pirates at the start of the season from Black Leopards, but has not been able to get ahead of players such as Xola Mlambo, Musa Nyatama, Mpho Makola and Ben Motshwari. A loan move to Chippa United did not materialise in January, but he could look at going elsewhere next season to get game time.

Injuries have let him down over the last two seasons, but competition has also been tight on the wings. Thembinkosi Lorch and Vincent Pule have been in good form, while Kudakwashe Mahachi is finding his feet. It makes it harder to get into the team for Qalinge witl Luvuyo Memela now back in the mix.

Like Maphangule, Mabaso is in his first season with the Buccaneers, but it does not look like he has a future at the club.
