Modise's contract with City is set to expire in June this year and the club has already engaged with the player regarding his future in Cape Town.
City boss John Comitis has confirmed that his club is in discussion with Modise regarding his future with the Citizens.
"Teko's contract with the club is coming to an end in June. We are in discussion with him for a way forward. We are open with Teko if he wants to finish his career here. It will all depend on him," Comitis tells snl24.com/kickoff.
"We would like to keep Teko even beyond his playing career at Cape Town City," he adds.
Comitis also assured supporters that club captain Thamsanqa Mkhize will stay with the team next year.
"Mkhize has one more year on his contract. We're talking, we will definitely renew his contract," says the Citizens boss.
