Former Moroka Swallows midfielder Humphrey Mlwane doesn't see the Dube Birds surviving relegation this season unless they receive a huge financial boost.
Mlwane says that teams are salivating at the chance to pick up points from Swallows, with the club likely short on manpower.
Swallows' log position, a depleted squad and the uncertain future of coach Steve Komphela, are all factors that could contribute to the performance of the side this season.

Mlwane is of the opinion that the club will have to dig deep if they want to remain in the top tier.
"All eyes will be on Swallows this weekend due to the issue of players, everyone wants to see if they will pitch up this time around," Mlwane tells KickOff.
"Who are they going to field on the day? Because even coach Steve Komphela is still not with the team, he has not been invited back to the club yet. I think Musa Nyatama will be on the bench though, he's been there before and they cannot go to a match without a coach.
"With all this friction in their team, Swallows might be forced to use their DDC players, and believe me their opponents will take advantage of that. Swallows's future in the PSL is too bleak, there's a dark cloud hanging over them at the moment. They won't survive relegation this season unless somebody provides financial support.
"In football today, without money, you will not survive, it's the same with most women we have today, if you don't have the money you will not have a girlfriend. If players don't get paid then how are they going to make it to training? How are they going to pay for petrol?"
Swallows will next face Polokwane City at Dobsonville Stadium in Soweto on February 17, 2024.
