Stellenbosch FC have confirmed the signing of highly-rated midfielder Thato Khiba, who joins from TS Galaxy as head coach Steve Barker continues strengthening his side for the second half of the season.
The Winelands-based side reportedly beat Orlando Pirates to Khiba's signature, with the club's latest recruit announced on Wednesday morning.
His arrival is also considered as a move to plug the gap left by Jayden Adams, who recently left on a big-money move to Mamelodi Sundowns.
Khiba will be wearing jersey number 19.
"We are thrilled to welcome Thato to Stellenbosch FC," Club CEO Rob Benadie told the club's website.
"He's a player who fits our playing philosophy perfectly and brings versatility, quality, and leadership to the team. We are confident he can make a significant impact in the second half of this season, and in the seasons to come."

Despite their strong start to the season, Barker's men have struggled in recent matches, winning just one of their last five Betway Premiership games.
As a consequence, they sit eighth on the standings after 11 games with four wins next to their name.
