Broos replaced Molefi Ntseki and has been tasked with helping South Africa qualify for the FIFA World Cup finals in Qatar next year.
Vandenbroek, who is now charge of Moroccan outfit Far Rabat, worked as Broos's assistant when Cameroon lifted the Africa Cup of Nations in 2017.
The 41-year-old coach has opened up about philosophy applied by his countryman and his belief in young players.
"He is calm and analysis the game very well. Tactical he is very good. He is open-minded person who creates good relationship with his players and staff.
"He likes 4-3-3 (system) but he will adapt to some game principles depending on the opponent. He always gives chance to young players,"
Bafana were drawn in Group G against Zimbabwe, Ghana and Ethiopia for their 2022 World Cup qualifiers which is set to kick off in September this year.
