Bafana Bafana forward Percy Tau says being with Brighton and Hove Albion has been a great experience despite the lack of game time recently.
Tau was named Man of the Match as Bafana drew 1-1 with Ghana in their penultimate Africa Cup of Nations on Thursday evening.
Mohammed Kudus broke the deadlock for the Black Stars four minutes from the break but Tau snatched the equaliser for Bafana two minutes later.
When asked about his time at Brighton, Tau told SABC TV, "Look, it's a great experience for me and I'm grateful, I'm trying to give my best, the guys are doing well and we're winning games so it's actually difficult to break into the team. But I just have to keep on trying, hopefully [I'll break into the team]."
Tau insists Bafana were targeting maximum points but will look to get the job done against Sudan on Sunday.
"We tried, we gave them a good run, they are also a good side, they stopped us but we kept on going and we'll look at the next game," he added.
"At the moment we have ten points and they've got ten so we still have another game to go to."
"We Would've wanted to win the game, we wanted to win the game, we tried but look we'll go to the next one heads up and we'll look forward to win it," he said.
