Bafana Bafana striker Bradley Grobler is disappointed about missing the national team's upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Sao Tome and Principe.
The SuperSport United forward has withdrawn from the squad due to an ankle injury he suffered in the MTN8 semi-final second-leg match against Bloemfontein Celtic.
"Ja unfortunately I've just got a sprained ankle, I just landed on my ankle," Grobler tells snl24.com/kickoff.
"Unfortunately there's a slight sprain that if I tried to play with it could get worse, so yeah, very disappointing. Unfortunately this is football hey, so ja tough one.

"This happened on Saturday in the game against Celtic, towards the end of the game. I did feel something but obviously you know during the game you can manage to get through it.
"Once you stop it's a different thing and the swelling starts when you take your boots off. So I did the scan yesterday and they picked it up.
"So ja, I mean it's very disappointing. I was looking forward to these games you know. But that's how it goes and now I have to move on and look forward to the future games."
