Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo has made a decision regarding his participation in the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup, amid speculation linking him to Moroccan giants Wydad Athletic Club.
The five-time Ballon d'Or winner had recently been linked with several clubs set to compete in the prestigious global tournament, including the Botola Pro League giants.

The 40-year-old global star is nearing the end of his current contract with Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr, which is set to expire at the end of this month. As of now, he has yet to sign a renewal.
Fueling speculation about a possible exit, Ronaldo posted a cryptic message on social media following Al Nassr’s final game of the season, writing, "This chapter is over" and many concluded he will leave the team.
Having joined the Saudi Pro League club in early 2023, Ronaldo's future has been the subject of intense speculation in recent weeks.
However, With reports suggesting he could join Wydad or any other team at the Club World Cup, Ronaldo has confirmed he will not be heading to the tournament despite receiving a few offers.
"Some teams reached out to me, some made sense and others did not, but you can't try and do everything," Ronaldo said after helping Portugal win the UEFA Nations League on Sunday.

"You can't catch every ball. I have made a decision. It’s almost certain that I will not be at the Club World Cup but I was contacted.
"There have been talks, contacts, but you have to think about short, medium and long-term."
The Club World Cup is set to take place in the United State of America, running from Saturday, 14 June 2025 until Sunday, 13 July.
