Riveiro off to USA: How quickly things change

Jose Riveiro is now a prime example of how quickly life can change, as he was recently seen looking stylish en route to the United States—just three weeks after his last appearance at Orlando Stadium.

The story

Riveiro enjoyed a successful three-year stint at Orlando Pirates, during which he won two Nedbank Cups and three MTN8 titles. But, as the saying goes, all good things must come to an end.

He bid farewell to the Buccaneers on 13 May with a commanding 3-0 win over Golden Arrows.

Now, less than a month later, the Spaniard has already boarded a flight to the United States with his new club, Al Ahly, ahead of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.

The softly-spoken coach has moved on to bigger things, with his official debut as Al Ahly manager set to be against Inter Miami—a side featuring FC Barcelona legends such as Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Sergio Busquets, and Jordi Alba.

It’s a remarkable turn of events for Riveiro, who was seen looking effortlessly stylish in a black outfit by CONCRETE, an Egyptian high-end clothing retailer.

Riveiro won’t have much time to enjoy the fashionable experience, though, as he must prepare his team for a warm-up match against Mexican giants Pachuca on Sunday, 8 June.

The match will take place at Chase Stadium, the home ground of Inter Miami, a club co-owned by David Beckham.
