SAFA have explained the quarantine rules for the overseas-based Bafana Bafana players, some of whom are yet to arrive in the country.
The national team is preparing to face Sao Tome and Principe in back-to-back Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers on Friday and Monday and are still waiting for some their overseas contingent to arrive at camp in Durban.
Percy Tau (Anderlecht, Belgium), Bongani Zungu (Rangers, Scotland), Keegan Dolly (Montpellier, France), Kamohelo Mokotjo (FC Cincinnati, USA), Luther Singh (Sporting Braga, Portugal) and Dean Furman (Carlisle United, England) have all been travelling from various parts of the globe.
Under Covid-19 regulations, regular citizens coming into South Africa from other countries have to undergo a 14-day quarantine period before they are allowed to enter society.

However, the rules appear to be different for professional sport, with SAFA confirming that the quarantine period for internatonal footballers is much shorter.
"It's 72 hours," SAFA CEO Tebogo Motlanthe informs snl24.com/kickoff.
"It was even done when they came here for friendlies [against Namibia and Zambia], we did it without hassles. Through these friendlies we did not have any problems, and we don't anticipate any problems."
SAFA confirms to this website that Tau, Dolly and Furman arrived at the camp on Tuesday, with Zungu and Mokotjo still on their way.
Bafana's first match against the 182-ranked nation is at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Friday (21h00), meaning even with a three-day quarantine period these players face a race against time to be involved.
The return fixture will be played in Port Elizabeth on Monday, 16 November after the Sao Tomean Football Federation (STFF) agreed to play their home fixture in South Africa to avoid logistical issues surrounding travel.
