Former Kaizer Chiefs left-back Gordon Gilbert says although he had a wonderful time at the club, it was tough not being the favorite for one of the best coaches in the club's history.
Gilbert says when he joined Amakhosi from Mpumalanga Black Aces in 2008 he didn't know being signed without the club's then-head coach Muhsin Ertugral's knowledge would create so many problems for him.

The Emalahleni-born Gilbert's stay in Naturena lasted only a season, he was then loaned to Moroka Swallows.
"I loved the Chiefs supporters, I loved the team, and I loved the management, everything about Chiefs I loved, it was unbelievable," He tells KickOff.
"I was at a disadvantage, though; in my first game, I was a man of the match, and in my second game, I got dropped.
"If I'm to be brutally honest with you, Muhsin Ertugral was very unhappy that the Motaungs signed me without his permission. So they signed me he did not sign me.
"I felt that all the time he tried to make an example out of me by saying to the owners 'Don't sign players on my behalf'.
"So from Day one he never gave me a fair opportunity, so if anything was to change, I would love to play for Kaizer Chiefs under another manager.

"So I was not happy at all when it came to the coach, not even a little bit. But yeah, obviously, because I'm a professional guy and I was brought up well, so as superior, I continued treating him with the respect any player should treat a coach.
"I wish I had a better coach; remember, a coach can make or break a player. As a coach, he's got the responsibility of building careers, not destroying players, irrespective of whether he likes the player or doesn't like the player.
"Ja and I think if you speak to Mabhuti Khenyeza and the few other players they will tell you the same thing."
