Uganda Cranes coach Abdallah Mubiru has named an expanded squad featuring two PSL players Ismail Watenga of Chippa United and SuperSport United midfielder Moses Waiswa.
Named in the squad is one-time Kaizer Chiefs target Emmanuel Otwi, who will captain the squad that has several players that have been called up for the first time.
Mubiru has handed call-ups to five players who were part of the Uganda Under-20 squad that lost in the final of the Africa Under-20 Cup of Nations in March.
The Ugandans go into camp on Monday.
A familiar face missing from the squad is Denis Onyango, who recently retired from international football to focus on his club career at Mamelodi Sundowns.
The Cranes have been forced to take the route of rebuilding after failing to qualify for the next AFCON finals to be held in Cameroon early next year.
The friendly against the East Africans is part of Bafana Bafana's preparations for the 2022 World Cup qualifiers, which will now start in September after being postponed from June.
