Wits' future in domestic football looked dead and buried after their status was sold to Limpopo businessman Lawrence Mulaudzi.
The Students were later renamed Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila before Mulaudzi sold it again to Polokwane businessman Abram Sello.
Former Baberwa boss Joe Seanago, who is now with newly formed Gomora United, has confirmed that the club is under new ownership.
"Yes, we sold the status of Baberwa to Wits. Unfortunately I can't reveal to you the amount that was paid," Seanego tells snl24.com/kickoff.
Wits have roped in former University of Pretoria coach Steve Matlou as part of their technical team while John Matlala has been appointed as the club's manager.
