Heric has worked as assistant coach to Stanley Menzo at Ikamva since his arrival in 2015 and has also led the Urban Warriors’ Diski Challenge team.
However, the tactician prefers to be in the driving seat in terms of coaching and will seek employment elsewhere ahead of the 2017/18 campaign.
“My situation is that I will be a free agent from July 1 because I am not renewing the contract at Ajax,” Heric tells snl24.com/kickoff.
“I couldn’t cope with certain things at Ajax so I thought it best that when my contract expires, I leave. For now, I feel I still want to coach in the PSL or NFD. All the same, I am proud that I was part of a system that continues to produce the intended results for the club [Ajax Cape Town].
“To have seen as many as eight boys that I worked with at one time in the MDC being promoted to the first team gives me joy,” he explains.
Heric has previously been involved with Royal Eagles, Thanda Royal Zulu, Chippa United, FC Cape Town, Polokwane City, Black Leopards, African Warriors, Bay United and Maritzburg United through the time that he has spent in the country.
