The PSL's planning has been affected by Mamelodi Sundowns and SuperSport’s United's progress in the African Champions League and Confederation Cup respectively.
Sundowns were originally scheduled to meet Wydad Casablanca in the quarter-finals of CAF's premier club event on the weekend of September 8-10, but the continental footballing body later shifted the date to September 15-17.
SuperSport likewise saw their Confed Cup last-eight tie with Zambia's ZESCO United being pushed back a week to September 22-24.
"I think they [the Premiership fixtures] should be released before Thursday," said PSL spokesman Luxolo September.
"When CAF changed their calendar we had to change ours," he added.
The PSL on Monday confirmed the dates, venues and times for the 2017 MTN8 Cup, which kicks off next Friday when holders Bidvest Wits host Golden Arrows at Bidvest Stadium (20h00).
