What Formation?
"4-5-1. I want to overload the midfield so we can have a solid defence and at the same time attack in numbers."
Goalkeeper...
"Siyabonga Mpontshane. He was my goalkeeper in my first season at Platinum Stars. Reflexes, saves and a great shot-stopper. He reads the game very well.
"It's just that when you are a goalkeeper, you have no one to cover you because you are the last man.
"You can make 99 saves, but we will only remember that one mistake."
Defenders...
"Luckyboy Mokoena will be my right-back. He is quality, and he knows football.
"Luvolwethu Mpetha is my left-back. He's got an educated left foot, and he can overlap. He is a ball player.
"Tshepo Gumede will be my first centre-back. Very calm. He is very good at reading the game. He is very vocal.
"I will put myself alongside him. What he lacks in pace is covered by his brain. His brain is faster than his foot. I play a lot of my football upstairs; my feet are just tools."
Midfield...
"Lantshene Phalane will be at the centre of my midfield. Good left foot. Also, what he lacks in pace is covered by his brain. He can protect the defence and can spread long and short passes. He will be our anchor.
"On the right, I will put Mahlatse Makudubela. When you talk of skill, that's our Neymar Jr. I think he did reach his potential, it's just that injuries and football politics affected his career.
"On the left, it's Gerald Phiri Jr. He's got a very sweet left foot. He is very decorated when it comes to technique.
"My central midfielder is Jabulani Maluleke. That's a team player when we talk of a complete player. He is slow, but his brain is quick. He controls the pace of the game with ease. Like Lionel Messi, he knows how to scan opponents. He knows when and how to do things. Hhayi le Shangani lazi ibhola leliya [That Tsonga guy knows football]. He was gifted. "Bongi Ntuli. You can call him Diego Costa. He will keep the ball for us until we join him upfront. Ungasuk'e Durban uyofik'e Jozi loku akugcinele yona ibhola. Even three or four defenders cannot take the ball away from him. That's Ntuli for you."
