A European publication claims that a French club has identified Lucas Ribeiro Costa as a target and is weighing up a substantial bid for the Mamelodi Sundowns talisman.
Ribeiro Costa has been one of Sundowns' standout performers at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.

The Brazilian netted a stunning solo goal against Borussia Dortmund on Sunday, which has been widely touted as a contender for Goal of the Tournament.
The 26-year-old now has one goal and one assist in two matches at the Club World Cup, and it appears his performances have already caught the eye of potential suitors.
A report by Footboom claims that French outfit Saint-Etienne are interested in signing Ribeiro from Sundowns after the tournament.
Footboom claim that Saint-Etienne are considering making an offer in the region of €2 million (approximately R41 million) for the Masandawana attacker.
Notably, Saint-Etienne were relegated from Ligue 1 at the end of the 2024/25 season and are set to compete in the second tier next season.
Ribeiro has previously played in France, having featured for Valenciennes during the 2018/19 campaign.
The forward only joined Sundowns in July 2023, signing a five-year contract running until June 2028.
