Free agent Gabadinho Mhango has spoken out regarding his future after parting ways with Marumo Gallants.
Mhango’s contract with Gallants officially expires on June 30, 2025, and it will not be extended, as announced by the club in a press release on Thursday.

The former Orlando Pirates attacker made 25 appearances across all competitions this past season, providing a single assist and scoring five goals.
“At the moment, I won’t reveal too much about my future, but I am speaking to a few teams, both in South Africa and abroad,” Mhango tells KickOff.com.
“Locally, I am in talks with several clubs in the Betway Premiership. I’m leaving my current club because I think it’s time for me to start a new chapter.
“Regarding my situation with Gallants, that’s something my manager is handling. I’m just focused on other matters. What will be done will be done."
When asked about his tendency not to stay long at clubs, he admitted he wasn’t entirely sure why that happens.
“[Laughs] I don’t know. Maybe it’s that a team no longer wants my services, or perhaps I’m looking for a new chapter because I love new challenges.
“Going forward, it’s just about me playing again and enjoying the game because I truly love it. If I find a team here, that’s great; if it’s abroad, that’s good too. That’s where my focus is right now.
“The coach who understood me the most is Gavin Hunt, who is currently without a team. He knows my playing style and taught me a lot.

“He played a significant role in my career by encouraging me to be myself. However, I respect all the coaches I’ve worked with throughout my career.
“I understand that every coach has players who fit their system. I love competition; in football, competition makes you a better player and prevents you from becoming too comfortable.”
The Malawian also has a legal case going on against Gallants regarding image rights.
