Jabu Maluleke future at Sekhukhune United clarified amid uncertainty

snl24.com/kickoff has been informed that veteran midfielder Jabulani Maluleke remains within the ranks at Sekhukhune United despite not being registered for the season.

Maluleke last featured for Sekhukhune last season and hasn't kicked a ball this season with the club silent on his status.

While the squad list for the 2021/2022 season was finalised and made public by the club for their maiden top-flight season nothing was mentioned on the 39-year-old.

This website has been informed that Maluleke remains on the club's books for now and discussions are ongoing on his future.

The club have recently drafted in Maluleke's close friend Morgan Gould to their MultiChoice Diski Challenge team as an assistant coach.

Gould also joined Sekhukhune last year and played through their first division campaign as they won promotion.

"With Mavotjie talks are on-going regarding how his services can be utilised going forward because the club feels his experience can be of use within the structures that are still being set up going forward," a source tells snl24.com/kickoff.

Maluleke has had a long stretching career which began at Dynamos during the 2002/003 season after which he moved on to play for Dangerous Darkies, Black Leopards, SuperSport United, Polokwane City before arriving at Sekhukhune last year.

Last season Maluleke made 21 appearances for Sekhukhune scoring once.
