Majafa was one of many players released by Pirates at the start of last season after he played most of his time at the club with the MultiChoice Diski Challenge team.
Bucs signed him from Polokwane City at the start of 2015/16 but he only featured in few games under then coach Erick Tinkler.
The 26-year-old, who was also the captain of Pirates' MDC team at that time, had no club last season in the PSL and is now plotting to make a strong return under new Celtic coach Veselin Jelusic.
According to the well-placed source close to this website, it has been revealed that whilst Majafa is yet to be signed a deal may be on the horizon.
"Majafa has not been signed yet by the club but it looks positive," a source tells this website.
Majafa is part of the Bloemfontein Celtic side that will feature in the inaugural Prince Mangosuthu Legacy Cup in Ulundi, a tournament named after IFP chief Mangosuthu Buthelezi, in the north of KwaZulu-Natal.
The tournament also features PSL returnees AmaZulu, a Zululand District XI and Swaziland giants Mbabane Swallows.
Meanwhile, Celtic MDC coach Duncan Lechesa, the club spokesperson in KZN, revealed yesterday on stage that they encouraged young Zululand District players to display their talents and not be deterred by playing against them, adding that one of them will be signed on a pre-contract if they are impressed.
If Majafa is signed by Celtic he will become the club's eighth signing following the capture of Roggert Nyundu, Ali Bondo, Jacky Motshegwa, Victor Letsoalo, Sipho Jembula, Lucky Baloyi and Ndumiso Mabena.
