Mahlonoko was loaned to Callies at the beginning of the season after he failed to secure regular game-time at Baroka last season.
The Vaal-born midfielder draw headlines when he burst on the scene at the age of 16 years in 2018 but his career quickly sank into oblivion after he spent a few months in the PSL.
Mahlonoko, who was at one stage linked with a move to Spain, was handed his clearance by Pirates last season before joining Baroka.
The 20-year-old midfielder will now get a new fresh start again in Limpopo after being allowed to return to Bakgakga.
"We spoke to the chairman. Augustine (Mahlonoko) is returning back to Baroka," his manager Keke Mokoena tells snl24.com/kickoff.
Mahlonoko recently posted on his social media account that he was retiring from football but Mokoena has since cleared up the confusion.
"I saw the report and I asked him about it. He said his account was hacked. He is not retiring. As I said before that he is returning back to Baroka," she added.
Mahlonoka remains one of the few players from Vaal to don the Pirates jersey including Steve Lekoelea, Avril Phali, Rodney Phetlele, Benjamin Mohapelo and China Masondo.
